Q: Is Island Paperie a franchise?
A: No. We've had many compliments and questions about if we are a chain or a franchise because of the beauty of our stores and quality of our tropical scrapbooking supplies and Hawaiian invitations. We are a small company and plan to remain that way. We may, in time, open other small stores throughout the state of Hawaii...but most likely one at a time. In the past, we have considered expanding into franchises, but decided we would remain small in scale to provide excellent customer service and build on our customer relationships personally.

Q: Who is the owner?
A: Alicia Hapai-Takitani is the owner of Island Paperie. She was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii and currently resides in Maui. In her earlier years prior to opening her Hawaii scrapbooking store, she attended the University of Hawaii at Hilo and graduated with a BA in Communications. She then went on to attend Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu and received her Executive Masters of Business Administration. She serves in various ministries in the local community helping women and children. She is the proud mother of two beautiful girls, Kilinoe and Christa Lokelani. She is blessed with a rich Hawaiian heritage, and comes from a family of teachers, business people, and ranchers. She is a descendant of the Andrade and Parker Family (Parker Ranch) and is a descendant of King Kamehameha the Great.

Q: Do you have a physical store, if so, where are you located?
A: Yes, our storefront is located at 395 Dairy Road Unit A, in the town of Kahului on the island of Maui. Click here to see a simple map.

Q: How can I view the status of my order?
A: Go to the Track Order page and input the information you used at the time of checkout. This page lists all your orders. Click the date of the order whose status you wish to view.

Q: What are your shipping costs?
A: You can view an estimate of shipping costs by viewing your cart. However, final shipping costs will be displayed on the Invoice you see before confirming your order. Estimated Shipping costs are below:
